today was fox thursday. we had a very eventful day. made a little trip to new roads walmart singing with raffi all the way. i am estatic that fox enjoys raffi so much. my children would understand this. i think fox likes him so much because this was the first kiddie cd i purchased after his birth , and when he was a teenightsy babe in the back of mimi's car she sang very loudly to him along with raffi, making faces in the rear view mirror at him....among whatever other various and sundry gyrations were possible behind the steering wheel of a car carrying precious cargo. he especially likes the baby beluga song and requests it first thing. today he also requested the "food song" which is about eat eat eating oopples and banoonoos. and i can always get a quack or two out of him on the mother duck song. fun times in mimi's car:)
we also visited with aunt risi at the clinic. he was in a great mood for which i am thankful. he played nice, and even shared his brand new sharks we bought at walmart with big e when prompted.
we then came back on home to the ranch and played with the big dogs in their pen. fox likes to get a little rough with them and that gets them riled and they go swishing their tails by him or jumping on him which sends him sprawling to the ground in all manner of undelightful poses, which makes him frustrated. so we did not stay long. next time we bring chewies to keep the dogs a little pre-occupied so fox can sit and play with the acorns a little while longer before he tries to ride on molly's back, which is inevitable. he loves loves loves his friskey, and she loves her fox. on the concrete drawing with chalk today she stayed close, rubbing up against him as usual, she was in just the right place for some good fox hugs. that just makes me happy:)
when we passed near aunt pat's pool on our way to check out the golf cart....plunk...all three brand new sharks found their way to the bottom of the yukky brown water. unless i fish them out they are gonners for good. that boy. he can't pass by a body of water without throwing something....anything...in. and he does it as fast as lightning. i understand he threw his breakfast bagel into the fishpond on the way into the house today to be dropped off. he does it with his books, just about anything. and he likes to sneak in some rocks when mimi is not looking too. that boy.
we had our regular nice weather picnic on the porch. he likes to anticipate the return of pop-pop and tommy from their morning crawfishing chores. today he was attempting to get down off of his chair to go over and join them by the crawfish shed and he got tied up in his chair. "oh no. stuck. need help." to the point and funny as heck coming from such a little munchkin.
we passed a good day. he is very funny in the way he says things. he is so used to us saying to him...."do you want some juice? do you want your shark book? do you want oceans on? etc. that this is the way he states what he wants. you want oceans on? you want to watch shamu? (on utube) you want to play baby einstein? (on mimi's ipad...a high point of the day)..............whatever. he also has picked up how to guide the computer mouse and he is a riot perched up on the chair in front of the computer doing this. of course he has no clue about pressing the clicker. so he just moves the mouse around and follows the arrow with his eyes. he thinks he is doing something great.
love my grand fox. can't wait for some more:)
you're gonna have so much fun going back to read your cute blogs about foxy when he gets older :D
