today was nice.
a nice lazy morning in the house, then off to church. david and chae are joining diane and myself in leading worship. diane and i trade off sundays. she/i do a couple songs from cd's and then david and chae come in with his guitar for a couple songs with a live worship flow. loved it this morning. it's gonna be real nice.
next friday night will be our first Holy Spirit explosion service. praying and prophesying and just generally loving on Jesus and his peeps. looking forward to a fresh start.
my friend kay has alzheimers. pat drops her off at church and one of us brings her home. she is pretty much lost now. she cannot hold a conversation or figure out anything for herself. being in worship is so soothing for her though. today she was crying. she can't be left alone when with us, because she will just walk around saying i don't know what to do/where to go. confusion has overtaken her mind. she cannot communicate with words but we just let hugs do the work. i want to begin to go to visit her on a weekly basis and just sit and do a little activity with her. i was reading something about that online, that just something as simple as stringing together cheerios, any type of simple repetitive preschool-type activity. just to have some interaction. i am thinking that it won't be much longer before she will have to go into some sort of home.
i bought a new lamp for the living room. it looks good. my house is beginning to look like a real home instead of a mess of clutter everywhere. yesss!
made a trip to the Y for some exercise on the way home. feels soooo good. i am so very glad that i joined the Y.
today i made a list of all the thankfuls for the past year. God really has done some miraculous things. tomorrow maybe i will list them.
