very scattered day. baked some king cakes. more cake designs and pricing. more calls for more cake designs and pricing. exciting yet sucks up the time.
took a long walk in the back today as gym replacement exercise. havent' done that in a long while. nice weather. jake came along. there was a hawk circling and calling out. that is a very eerie sound. i kept jake close...didn't want him to become hawk bait!
a young black man called to order a king cake for his girlfriend. he picked it up late this afternoon on his way home to b.r. from his work at the formosa plant in batchelor. usher look-alike. and as sweet as sugar. in a very respectful, sincere, humble sort of way. he dejays on the side. gave me some of his cards in case any of my customers may be interested. very smartly done and they smelled good. he must have anointed them with cologne:) that girl better hold onto him....and i told him to tell her that too!:))
gotta get up early and have my coffee on the go to nola in the a.m. to pick up supplies. such is the life of the chief, cook, and bottle washer ;)
