i never "watch" football games. when lsu plays i usually go in and out of the room to catch the score, but i nearly always have something else going on and just don't sit down and "watch" until the end of the game and then only if something spectacular is happening to pull out a win. i have my own secret crush on les miles, but after the loss in the national championship game i'm starting to get suspicious that he is not the mr. perfection i thought he was. the saints are sort of in my periphery in that sometimes i know if they are winning and sometimes i don't. of course i always wish them the best and have the utmost respect for drew brees.
today i actually sat down with mama and chuck and formally "watched" the saints/49ers game. until the last 1 minute. i had to walk out at that time because what was happening makes me too nervous and i can 't stand that sinking feeling in my belly that preceeds something bad (aka...losing) happening.
so after catching the tail-end of the sports tonight this is how big-time louisiana sports stands. we lose.
lsu football. the saints. lsu men's basketball lost today. hornets lost today.
oh, and tim tebow lost terribly today. he might not be a fellow louisianian but he is family, after all:)
sigh.
