the rabbit rules.....just ask me

had a fantabulous time today hanging out with old friends and family and cheering on a favorite son.  adrian "the rabbit" morgan came in 3rd place in the annual peanut butter and banana sandwich eating competition in biloxi....yaay!  i'm sure a thousand bucks will come in handy at that:)  even though it's kind of hard sometimes to watch these things...they are kind of gross...and i can't always fathom why someone would even want to attempt such feats....i still just love me some adj. and i'm so proud of him.  and i am going to attend his graduation from la. cuilinary institute in a couple weeks and cheer him on again.  cause i just love me some adj and after all he is a favorite son:)

met kee early this morning at her favorite morning hangout at coffee call.  had a couple small beignets (what came over me that i felt the need to insert the word "small"?...but i promise they were), some au lait and a fun little time of chatting with her morning glory buddies.  made the two hour drive over to biloxi and had a great time of fellowship and catching up with my little sis on the way.

met up with adrian at the isle casino, who hosts the competition.  and then everyone else started to trickle in:   "the baton rouge and biloxi girls" including one boyfriend and two husbands and a fox:) and  my best bud nan.  we visited, we cheered, we took  pics of a bunch of crazies stuffing their faces with peanut butter, bananas and bread, we cheered some more, then we kissed and congratulated adrian and took more crazy-fun pics, re-gathered down the road for a nice little lunch, and hopped onto the interstate for the long ride back home again.

standing outside the restaurant saying goodbyes my lovely dana makes the type of observation to me that she often does...it has endeared her to me ever more as the years go by, "you know after all of the ups and downs and everything in between that we've been through over the years...together and apart....in spite of it all..... this little group of friends has remained "family".  how cool is that? "    i just love it when she does that.  she has developed an appreciation that astounds me.  very good favorite daughter, very good indeed :)
